This set is officially titled “The Official Gaming Coins of the World’s Great Casinos”. It’s an unusual and attractive set that contains silver gaming tokens from famous casinos around the world. Two series were issued – the first in 1978 (green display case) and the second (red display case) in 1986. Each set has different casinos. The “red set” is much rarer than the “green set”. Individual tokens from these sets are also sometimes seen. Each token is redeemable at the casino of issue (assuming it still exists) for $25 or the approximate equivalent value in the currency of the country (francs, pesos, pounds, etc).
