This set was issued just as silver prices spiked, and so was quite expensive relative to the silver content. The mintage numbers in the table below were those planned, but I see very few of these sets, so I believe the actual mintage was much less than originally planned. The gold-plated version was intended for Franklin Mint Collector’s Society members.
