The largest and heaviest silver bowl ever issued by the Franklin Mint (and possibly in the U.S.), this bowl is an original work of art created for the Bicentennial celebration in 1976. It is crafted ifrom over 150 ounces of solid Sterling Silver and lined with 24kt gold. The sculptures around the Bowl show vignettes of 200 years of American history. Individually serial numbered from a Limited Edition of 750. This is a great way to combine investing in silver with having a unique and artistic collectible to display. According to the Inflation Calculator on the Buy page, in today’s dollars this bowl would cost $11,389!
