These are Franklin Mint medals, embedded in Christmas tree ornaments. The ornaments could be opened and closed. The medals feature designs from the “12 Days of Christmas” and have a verse from the song on the back. The nickle silver edition was issued in 1967 in multi-colored plastic ornaments. The silver and bronze versions were issued in 1970 in clear lucite ornaments.
